Bronte Creek Park Off Leash area
Many have inquired about the locations of the off leash areas in Bronte
Creek
Provincial Park. The one nearest Oakville is located on Upper Middle crossing
Bronte Road, going west to the park's entrance gate. It's a beautiful walk
along marked trails where dogs are free to explore. But be advised it is
not a fenced in area - this off leash is a wonderful trail, perfect for
a long hike with your best friend. Please remember to "stoop and scoop"!
The other off leash area is on the "Burlington" side of the park, and can be reached from the Burloak Drive entrance.

Directions to the Bronte Creek off leash area (Oakville side)
If you're travelling on Bronte Rd, turn west towards the Bronte Creek camping area until you reach the gate house. From the gate house, turn left, towards "group camping" and proceed down the dirt road. At the end of the road, there are two parking lots, you can park in either one. (If you're unsure, you can ask the attendants at the gate house for directions.)
Dogs should stay on leash until you are past the group campgrounds. The off leash trail goes through a farmer's field, into the woods, and down into the creek, if you want. Park staff is pretty good about having them off leash even out of leash free bounds as long as you stay south of the power lines and in the woods.
During the winter, you have access (unofficially) to the entire park... you can walk through the woods right up to Hwy 5. During the summer, as there are campers around, you must have them on leash to walk on the northern trails.
